Give Kids A Smile
Every year, Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) hosts the ADA’s Give Kids A Smile program. The student-run event focuses on the oral health of children under 17, offering free dental exams, cleanings, and referrals. ASDA also partners with the school’s Operation Mouthguard to fit kids with free mouthguards during this event.
Wampanoag Outreach Group
Established in 2012, Wampanoag Outreach Group (WOG) is a collaboration between Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) and the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah) to promote the oral and systemic health of the tribe on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, MA. Specifically, WOG strives to improve access to oral health care by addressing geographic and financial barriers. Students and faculty also participate in Wampanoag pow-wows and tribe meetings to learn more about the tribe and its culture.
Action for Children and Teens in Oral Health Need program, otherwise known as ACTION, is a monthly student-run pediatric clinic in Cambridge, MA in a partnership with Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA). ACTION is the only pediatric dental clinic within the CHA system and we provide much needed oral health care to low-income families in and around Cambridge.
