David White, MDS Director of Governmental Affairs and Grassroots Advocacy

On October 8, Harvard ASDA hosted Mr. David White for a dinner talk to increase student engagement with advocacy. Mr. White, the Massachusetts Dental Society’s Director of Governmental Affairs and Grassroots Advocacy, gave a presentation on current legislative issues impacting dental students at state and national levels, from the PGY-1 bill, mid-level providers, and the ACA. Afterwards, Helen Yang, Harvard chapter legislative liaison, briefly talked about how dental students can engage with these issues, such as through ASDA’s ENGAGE and lobbying.
