We are proud to announce HSDM ASDA Community Involvement was awarded over $11,000 from the ADA E. “Bud” Tarrson Dental School Student Community Leadership Award! This will directly fund Action for Children and Teens in Oral health Need (ACTION) and Wampanoag Outreach Group (WOG). ACTION is a monthly student-run pediatric dental clinic at the Cambridge Health Alliance providing much needed oral healthcare to low-income families in and around Cambridge.
The Award will help ACTION have expanded sessions and allow for continued operations in the near future. WOG collaborates with the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah) and travels monthly to Martha’s Vineyard to provide dental services that help address geographic and financial barriers. This Award will help WOG to grow their operations and continue to improve the oral health of the community.
