Our ASDA chapter recently hosted hosted its 5th Annual Pre-dental Mini Conference. There were approximately 60 attendees, all of whom were invited to attend free of charge. Speakers included Anne Berg, HSDM Director of Admissions and Dr Bernard Friedland, who discussed nontraditional career paths in dentistry. There was a student panel with students from all four years at HSDM and a Boston University dental student. Current HSDM students discussed their experiences and a pre-dental student, Sunny Paik, discussed research opportunities. The turnout was fantastic and the interactive dinner with dental and pre-dental students was a big hit. We are looking forward to the 6th Annual Pre-dental Mini Conference in 2014.
